3/29 good day on the water
Well I finally made it out! I was never able to get out over the holiday, My kids brought home a nasty virus and wouldnt you guess it…they gave it to me. So after sitting around thinking about fishing all weekend I pulled the trigger and took a day off yesterday to fish. Glad I did. I first started off at the lower end hoping I would see some sign of hybrids, never did so I shot over to elm hill marina. Fished the coves on both sides of the marina from 8-12 catching about 12 bass, almost all of them where right at the 13″-14″ mark. Best 2 fish where about 2lb a piece. fished crawdad shad rap. I feel like I could have caught a lot more fish but the wind was blowing my boat so fast down the bank It made it hard. I headed in around 12 and drove up lake to fall creek. I put in at the fall creek boat ramp…that was a doozy trying to figure that flat out but I managed.Fished the stumps for crappie, nothing. Went around the bend to the bluff wall on the right and ended up catching 7 really nice black crappie, and a hand full of Yellow bass and white bass. All in all Great day on the water and I got to eat fresh crappie and white bass!
Cant thank this forum enough for yesterdays success. First time on JPP this year.
