Trying my hand at crappie fishing Saturday. Not much of a crappie guy always fished for bass. Looking for any tips on how and where. Thanks

The crappie have been biting good in 12ft-18ft with crappie magnets ( pearl) and live minnows 2-3ft off the bottom. I would try the deep fish attactors. you should run into some crappie.

Heading out in a bit. How do you tell if they are deep attractors? I can’t seem to get the GPS coordinates to work in my phone either!

Never mind. I see the depth is on the coordinates sheet. I also sprung for the $9.99 Navionics app. Looks like they are mostly plotted on the app.

Well worth the cost if you ask me!

    Did you have any success?

Hey Brian…..just joined you guys so I’m learning the terminology. What is meant by deep fish attractors?

The plastic white buoys that TWRA puts out with a fish on it that says “fish attractor.” There are a bunch of trees under and around them in 16-20ft. There is one near weakley lane bridge, pooles knob campground, in front of long hunter, just past the Hobson Pike bridge and in smith springs to name a few.
