The last couple days on Priest have been successful for bass!

I have been catching a lot of fish around the islands near Hobson Pike bridge in in 2ft-4ft of water. Both those islands(tiny rock island/bigger island next to it) have a lot of sand and boulder rock around them that the smallmouth and largemouth have been holding to. I have only bee using two baits….Texas rig 6″ Lizard and Texas rig craw fish, both watermelon/red flake. The next island up lake with the PVC fish attractor near the red channel buoy has been producing as well. The sandy bank on the north side of the island is a high percentage area and the rocks on the south side have been good too. I try to keep my lizards in 2ft-5ft.

Smith Spring produced several bass yesterday near the wooded YMCA dock(closest to Smith Spring boat ramp) fishing towards the back of the cove. Once again, 2ft-5ft of water with lizards all the way! We caught around 8 there, including 2 keepers.

Lastly, Hamilton Creek produced a lot of fish for us yesterday. We fished the second and third pocket on the left of the creek and the two on the right side of the creek. Lizards in 2ft-5ft was the producer again! We probably caught 15, although most were small it was a lot of fun.

This is the first report that I have posted where I have used one lure all day! I love using different baits, but I have to admit it is nice to keep it simple for once. It allows me to shut my brain off and focus more.
