What a day! After a few days of slow crappie fishing, they finally decided to turn on. With the cooler temperatures I decided to fish a little shallower in the 8ft-12ft range. I also picked up a few dozen minnows to try in addition to the Magnets. Fishing brushpiles around Fate Sanders to Bryants Grove, most of the trees we fished produced crappie! The trees in 8ft-12ft produced most, but a few trees in 16ft-18ft coughed up a lot of crappie! Tight lining minnows two turns off the bottom was the the best producer today. I love the Magnets, but I will be buying some minnows the next couple trips to see if they are favoring them.
