Fished yesterday from 11:00am to 4:00 pm. Water was very stained, maybe one foot of visibility. Temp in middle of the cove was 44 degrees but got up to 50 degreess near the mouth to the main lake. Fished for bass with no results. Worked various items; Bandit 100, DT 10, suspending jerk baits, spinnerbaits, jig and pig, wildeye shad, even simple unweigthed swimbaits. Fished slow, fast, cranked the shelves, slowly worked suspending lures. Nothing.

But it’s always better to be fishing than wishing you were fishing, so it was a good day. Weather was really nice. Storm came through last night and I almost went out today after the rain stopped. I need to keep telling myself its winter. I moved down from up North and 45-50 degree days are spring to me!

As for colors, I fished crawfish, white, silver and blue, white and brown, yellow and brown in hardbaits white/yellow and brown/orange spinnerbaits, wildeye exact replica lures, PB&J jig with white pig, and smoke/silver swimbaits.

I worked the shoreline(downed trees, rock walls, any structural element really), drop-offs from flats along the main channel (not much of a main channel in Bartons), and boat docks

Sorry that I don’t have any catch info … but its called fishing … not catching
