Looking forward to a bass trip in the morning. The cooler temperature is tempting me to revert to shallow areas that were producing before the heat. I’m thinking buzzbaits, crankbaits and plastic worms on shallow flats with grass and creeks…..will post report with results tomorrow!

I was about to ask you about that.
I’m planning on going Sunday afternoon/evening after the Titans game. Can’t pick between Priest and the Cumberland. Are you headed out with clients? Or by yourself?
Let us know how it goes.

Good luck Brian. I went today from 5 till noon. I caught around 10. I did pretty good at Bryant’s Cove. Buzz baits where on pretty good. After about 900 I struggled a bit because it was very windy. I went over to Hong Kong island and caught some on the rock side with green pumpkin trick worms. Only 3 that measured but let the big one get away. All in all was a good day. Thanks for the help.

Brian, I’ll actually be doing the same tomorrow, fishing that is. I’ll be launching out of Hamilton Creek. Have you ever had much success around in the general vicinity (Bare in mind, I only have a 14′ Aluminum boat with a 9.9hp so my range is limited unfortunately. :()?

I’m familiar with the old road within Sailboat Cove that I’ve seen you mention in a couple posts. I was also thinking about trying around Bear Island, where I’ve had good success in the past, but other than that any help would be greatly appreciate.

    Thanks!

My brother has a 6lb 3oz smallie mounted on his wall that he caught at Bear Island.

Brian what type of worm do you use this time of year?
    Brand?
    Color?
    Size?

    Thanks…
