Hobson pike area. Fishin river channel points. I’m sitting on the ledge in 25-50 ft and throwing to cover and drops..all 11 were within 30 yrds of channel drop.

We are not getting bit on anything shallow that has any size to it. Saturday 11/4/2017 I covered the lake from end to end just to find all of ours in 20 to 25ft on bluff walls right of the main channel. A 5.56 LgM came from 32ft on a blk/blu 1/2oz jig. Bass were chasing but not committing way up in West Fork, We did managed one 3LB keeper at blown out bridge but it was off the channel ledge.

Thanks for responding Ktbass09 and RedStratos. So are you guys saying you are ledge fishing in the middle of the lake off the old river channel? Are you marking these bass on your fishfinder? Schools of them? I just got HDS12s, but haven’t learned how to really isolate bass yet.

Deep Walls/ledges on outside channel bends……. ***it has changed since the floods though, been hammer shallow last two days. Fish the conditions, slack water on current breaks is on at the moment but it will change..,… JPP is tuff.

I went down lake this morning and threw Alabama rigs in 15 to 20 ft. We marked several fish and caught a few, but didn’t get any Hogs today. Just a couple of solid keepers.

Yes, JPP has a lot of 4+ pound smallies. Fish enough on the lower end (around the dam) and you’ll run into some good ones over time.

I never threw an Alabama Rig deeper than probably five feet. So that is something I would definitely like to try.

Was going bass fishing tomorrow and always go by myself. Sometimes it gets old. Was anyone planning on going by themselves to fish for bass tomorrow that wants a partner?
