Birthday crappie
I started fishing my usual spot at Jones mill with black/chart. and white/chart. crappie magnets and tube jigs. Like Brian mentioned, they were no where to be found. I quickly had to adjust my game plan a bit. I stopped by fate sanders to buy some purple/chart. tube jigs and some minnows. I fished the small pocket visible from the road going torwards fate sander boat ramp with the fish attractors visible. I used purple/chart. tube jigs and minnows and slip floats to catch 6 keepers in the next hour. Hopefully fishing gets better these next few days. I will be on Old hickory tommorow going fishing with a guy. Then its back to JPP crappie.

Same spot from 5-7:30. 13 keepers 21 nonkeepers .Wouldn’t touch a jig but were all over minnows. They would only hit rosy red minnows that I got at Walkers bait shop in hendersonville. I caught half as many fish on regular minnows than the rosy reds. I would have caught more if I had not ran out of rosy reds.

I got 28 keepers around the boat docks at fate sanders. About half were on a white/chart. jig and the others were caught on a live minnow underneath a float.

I had to work harder for them tonight. I got 15 keepers even. 34 short fish. They would hit minnows and killer klat and sho nuff crappie magnets. All around the boat docks.
