  Cordell Hull Dam

  Son and I put in around 6:30. Fished by the lock walls with minnows, southern pro hot grub in KY Killer on 1/8 red jig. We cast and let fall to bottom then retrieved very slow. My fist fish was a 2# KY spot, then John put a crappie in the well. Then the bite quit. I put a couple minnows over the side and managed a couple more keepers and about half dozen short fish. Didn’t see any other boats putting keeper Sauger in the well. Most guys I talked to hadn’t had a bite. This time of year you take what the water gives you.
