For the last two weeks the crappie have finally started hitting on deep crankbaits. This afternoon in about three hours we caught 6 crappie from 12 to 14 inches trolling white/chartreuse 300 Bandits in 15-20 feet. Also one nice hybrid. The crappie were stacked up on a point of a submerged hump at the 15 ft depth out in front of Elm Hill Marina.

Are you talking about the hump between the ramp and the island?
If so, I was wondering what was stacked up on the sides of it. I didn’t think it looked by bass on the graph, but threw a drop shot to the arches a few times the other night. Have you ever checked that hump out during winter pool? It’s crazy what all is on it.

I used to fish that hump when Four Corners didn’t charge to launch. Now that I launch out of Fate Sanders I rarely make it that far down river except for the occasional smallie quest around Goose Island.
