Lucked out and had a short day so is loaded up and went to get some crappie. Met Brian at Fate to pick up my 20% off crappie magnets and jig. He ssuggested to head to Spring and Fall creeks. I worked the edge of the channel in the straight before you get to the creeks. I found crappie in 10 to 12 flow, I was spider rigging and had jig set at 8 – 9 feet. Best color was orange/ chart CM on 1/16 white jig. Wind was pushing me, I caught 18 with 11 keepers. 6 were over 13″. Water was stained and 49 to 50 degrees.

    Good luck

I did similar today. Had about 10 keepers spider rigging. Trying to get used to my Terrova. Wasn’t pretty 😆 but I caught a mess. The bite was really good until about 1:30 and it slowed down some. All was caught on chart/black and orange/black in about 10′ of water on the left before you get to Spring Creek. There was no wind so it was easy to go very slow spider rigging.

I was on the other side of the channel from where you were fishing. At first I didn’t think I would do well with the water being stained. It didnt seam to hurt the bite at all. Headed to KY lake Friday and Saturday. Then will be back on Jjp and OH.

    Happy fishing,
    Ray
