Trolled with a buddy in his boat from 8 am to 3 today with a few long breaks to check new/different spots. Had trouble marking fish today for some reason. Fish were scattered much more than yesterday. Started in Spring Creek and managed 5 keepers before having to move due to the wind picking up. Went to Jones Mill since wind was calm there. Ended up catching 7 keepers in the next few hours and headed back to Spring Creek about 1:30 pm where we picked up one more keeper. Wind started to blow again and we headed for the ramp. Saw a boat flagging us down with motor issues. Gave them a tow into Stewarts Creek Ramp and headed to Fate Sanders. Ended up with 13 keepers. Caught many short crappie in Spring Creek but most fish in Jones Mill were nice keepers. Same set up as Sat 1/32 grub/jig combos. All fish caught in 6 -14 foot of water. No consistent depth was better than any other for us. Like I said the fish seemed scattered. Used crappie nibbles later in the day and it helped with the short strikes…more second strikes with the nibbles. Hope to get back out soon but without the wind….I have had enough of it this weekend.

Great report, were you long line trolling or spider rigging, I fished around Hong Kong a couple weeks ago and caught about a dozen with four nice 12″plus keepers spider rigging minnows and CM’s, fished from 8 till noon, bite got better closer to noon.

We were long lining, I am still learning from my boat. I learned the set up last year from a friend. He is much better at it then I am and we always have better results in his boat. I’m ready for spring and limits of crappie!
