Crappie 3/15
Started out trolling in Stewarts Creek this morning and picked up 4 fish quickly with one nice keeper. Waited for the fog to lift and headed towards Spring Creek. Ended up with 20 more keepers trolling in 4 -12 foot of water. Fished from 8 – 2 pm. Fished turned off for us at noon….just quit biting. Fish were scattered but when we found them in shallow water…..they were tight to the rocks. Current/warmth had them hugging the rocks is my guess. Water temp was 55 -58 in most areas we fished. Orange/green and red/black were our best grub colors today. Should get better once the water settles down. The drawdown seemed like it broke up the schools we saw last week. I will be out midweek for another try at them.
