Hit a few coves outside of Fate Sanders today starting at 5:15 am. Trolling long lines with 1/16 and triple grubs in 12 -18 foot of water. Action was great till some fog rolled in a little later in the morning. Bite slowed down but picked up after it lifted and we changed to brighter colored grubs. We had 56 keepers by 10:30 and made short move trying to close out our limit but did not catch another fish on the move to Bryants Grove, boat traffic was picking up so we packed it in. Big females were stacked on humps with depth changes of 2 feet. We had great passes if we made sure to hit the humps at the correct angles. Back side of the humps were holding the fish till they and the bait moved out to the mouth of the cove around 10 am. Great day, long lining this summer looks like it will continue to pay off. Check out the Mike Lorance article in the 6/5 DNJ to see how my buddy and I are catching these fish. Saw Brian at the gas station this morning but did not get a chance to say hello and did not see him on the lake….hope you caught them today Brian. We have been trying some areas you suggested and it’s paying off. Thanks for running such a solid website!

The Daily News Journal is the paper that the article was in.
