Crappie Report?

Wednesday I fished 6 hours for Crappie. We had almost 20 keepers. We fished up lake on the flat just up from Fall Creek on the river Channel ledge. Most of the crappie came on 1/8 ounce pink jig with a yellow and chartreuse crappie magnet. The fish were sitting right on the edge in 8 to 14 feet of water. Then we moved mid lake and fished the flat in front of Hong Kong Island in 10 ft around brush and caught several more on the jigs.

I’m gonna go in the morning, just no idea where yet… Smith Springs is my clostest put in.. I don’t like to go far when I’m by myself… Anyone catching any crappie around smith springs???

My son and I went out from around 10 – 2 today. We fished Several brush piles / trees from the youth camp area back up to the Jefferson Pike area. We caught 15 – 20 but the majority of them were 9″ range with only 5 Keepers. One of those was 13″+. All fish came from 10′ -15′. I never could find them stacked up anywhere. Each stop was only good for a fish or two but I typically don’t sit long if we aren’t getting bites.

Fish Saturday from 8:30 until 1:00 had 20 nice keepers.I fished in 15 to 20 feet of water using jigs

When yall fish youth camp where do you go for crappie? Is it the bluff wall across from the bryant grove boat ramp or what? Thanks for the advice!
