Hi, we’re going out this week in the evenings, putting in at Fate Sanders. Never been successful catching Crappie in good numbers, the only time was on a trip with you (Brian). Got a boat and now ready to go get ’em.

    1. Where would you recommend going, locations?
    2. Bait to use?
    3. Depth?
    4. Techniques?

And if we want to do some bassin, the same questions…
    Thanks Brian!

Well, I’ll do the best I can. For crappie I would fish 12ft-18ft in brushpiles. You will need to find some, or you can fishing the deeper fish attractor buoys that TWRA set out. There is one near weakley lane bridge, another near pooles knob campground and another in front of long Hunter boat ramp cove. I would fish with Crappie Magnets and minnows, 3ft OFF the bottom.

As for the bass, check out the report I just replied to titled “fishing 9/10”.

    Brian
