Back in the 80s I fished under Hobson Pike bridge at night using HB flasher unit, home made floating headlights and Coleman lanterns (yep it was a long time ago and never heard of a a submersible green light or side imaging in those days lol). Were times we caught 50 or more crappie and or stripe, yeah those were the days ! We fished the 4th pier from bank on channel side of bridge, even installed an eye bolt in pier to tie to.I have not fished priest much at all since then as I got hooked on kylake for past 30 years. Has anyone fished the crappie under lights in June/July recently? If so would appreciate any tips or info on what to expect as we plan on trying them tommorow night. Thanks, be safe, and Happy Fishing !

I don’t do any crappie fishing at night. I went for the first time last week and had no luck fishing from fate Sanders to hobson pike Bridge. We were going to fish the bridge pillars(the first three on each side), but there were boats already other fishermen. We fished a bunch of brush piles in 12-20 with no luck. It was fun, but not my best first night crappie fishing experience. I know some guys slay them at night.
