Im not sure of forum etiquette here… Ive seen on other forums were folks get grumpy about getting off topic or in this situation, asking questions about dale hollow under the percy priest heading. Maybe there could be another heading on the index page for “Other Lakes”. Anyway, I’ll post here since I fish priest usually, and this gets the most reader traffic.

Im going to Dale Hollow in a couple weeks. Does anyone have any advice? Id love to get into some of those famous Dale Hollow Smalljaws.
    Thanks

Humps, ledges, and grass dominate this time of year, but I mostly go there in the winter. The slot limit makes lots and lots of 3-4 lb smallmouth

Ive been reading about humps with grass on them and clay transitions. Ive heard 15ft. Is a magic depth for them. Wodering if daytije fishing is going to be productive. Supposedly, nightime is thhe way to go in the summer, but it seems unseasonably cool right now. Im sure a week of warm temeratures will change the game though. When nigt fishing, do the smallies come up in the shallows to feed or will they stay fairly deep? Any tips on night fishing for smallies in general?
Thanks Nathan, any particular areas that you can recall where ill find some grassy humps? Not sure ive got cofidence in reading my humminbird 798si and being able to see the grass.
