Wanted to give all my fellow anglers a heads up..
    in case you didn’t know,
I went to put in at Elm Hill Boat Ramp this afternoon
and the attendant told me that it is now $8.00 to park instead of $5.00.
She said that the Army Corps of Engineers voted on increasing the parking fee.
Not sure if that is at all public boat ramps,
but it is now at the Elm Hill Boat Ramp.
That is over a 50% increase in the parking fee,
    WHERE is our money going?

Wow, that’s not cool at all. Hopefully we start to see something come of it here shortly…

Has anyone else seen this at any other boat ramp?
You would think that they would has posted up something about it.
The lady said it went in effect as of Saturday.

I am all for a launching fee…that is if the area is kept safe and the ramp, dock and bathrooms are in good shape but the last time this year I paid $5.00 to launch there was my last time.

    NO Bathrooms
Dock was in bad repair missing cleats
Must have been 8 people fishing from the dock which they are not supposed to do.

Mostly moved to OH Shutes Branch or Lone Branch

    My 2 cents, Jim

I launch at longhunter. Its free and usually no dock fisherman. Also patrolled by the rangers daily. However, i may go build dock bumpers for them. Their docks are boat killers.
