Fall Friday afternoon
My son and I put in at Stewarts creek this afternoon and fished from 12:30-5:30. The wind was steady so I decided to head up the river starting out at Lamar hill since it looked like the wind may be pushing bait in the cove. We caught 4 largemouth here in 2′ or less water towards the back of the cove. 2 short fish 2 keepers. Them we headed to spring/fall creek area after some crappie. The graph showed a lot of fish at 9-12 ft holding above brush but no action. After about 30-40 minutes we decided to head on up the river after more bass. Fishing shallow flats on the edge of the channel, we caught several more short fish and two more keepers one was nice close to 4 lbs. all in all a good day on the water.
