I was contemplating fishing tomorrow, considering that it will feel like summer in comparison to Monday’s high of 12. Certainly would appreciate some feedback here as I am a newbie when it comes to winter fishing, and well, fishing in general.

I would imagine this latest cold snap and tomorrows blue bird skies fishing would be pretty slow and they would be pretty lethargic . If that plays out I imagine i’m going to have to go deep, with smaller and slow presentation. Jigs, shaky head, etc. Does that make sense? If so, any suggestions on where to go? I’d like to play around with my electronics some too and locate offshore structure.

Or should I go back into Spring Creek where the water is warmer again and throw crank baits later in the day?

Thanks for the feedback in advance.

I would fish some bluff walls around Long Hunter boat ramp, Hobson Pike Bridge and further down. Smaller jigs and shaky heads are always good baits. Then I would go back into Spring Creek. The fish were biting pretty good back there today. Myself and two clients caught 8, including 3 keepers in 3 hours! I will put detailed report up later tonight for my trip.
