Fishing Report 5/16/2014
Fished Old Hickory on Friday and launched out of Lone Branch.
First stop was the bridge to the east of the launch ramp. Tried square bill, swim jigs, and spinner baits. Nothing. Went out into Cedar Creek near marina. Water was very muddy there, caught one short fish. Went out near main channel and tried a couple shell beds with crankbaits and football jig. Nothing. Ran over to Cages Bend and fished in there. Much clearer water. We began to have steady action, but small fish. We had three fish that measured and caught 20 all together. Caught them on Texas Rig Brush Hogs. Our three weighed 6lbs. 2oz. First place was 13lbs. 2nd and third were just over 11lbs. -

Thanks for the report. I’ll be out all day Wednesday on old hick for bass. Finally, can’t wait!
