    Sure thing.
My last few trips have still been on Fall Creek. The water in the back is 67-69 with .5-1.5ft visibility. The mouth of the creek is stained then the back neat the 840 bridge. Each day I have been going to the back past the last bluff wall on the left and casting to every stump/wood I can find. I have been using minnows on floats, but mostly Crappie Magnets on floats with a 2ft-3ft leader. The best colors has been purple haze and the therapist. I just twitch the float in a few times and then let it sit for 3 seconds….then twitch again and let it sit until I get a bite. I was catching a ton of females back there, but now only males. I think it is starting to wind down.

I have hit a few brushpiles around long hunter with success, but have not fished much mid lake for crappie. The end of this week or next week I will be focusing more mid lake.

Had 17 keepers Saturday morning and as many throwbacks. One 14.5″ crappie. Brushpiles in 10 FOW seemed to produce better. Black/Blue with Chartreuse curly tail. Fished around 4 corners area.

Also, now since the water is a couple feet high than a month ago you can go all the way back near the 840 bridge. Once you get back there most of the stumps are still out of the water a bit, but the rest are just 1ft or less under the water. Carefully navigate around them casting your float with minnow or Crappie Magent.

Thanks Brian. I may be going Thursday and I was wondering what all this rain has done to fall creek and whether I should try around pools knob, four corners or hit the creeks. Keep us posted if your out tomorrow.

    Thanks!

Will do. The other day it was really muddy back there, but now it’s clear. I’ll be out tomorrow from 9 to 1 p.m. with a husband and wife trying to get some crappy. Hopefully the fishing is still good. The last few days all I’ve called is males, which leads me to believe they’re not far from wrapping up their spawn back there.

i fished Weds out of Fate Sanders, seen Brian an Trey at the boat dock, pops an i had a fun day,, it took us a hour on so to get on a pattern, but had a good productive day,, started in ski cove casting road runners an picked up a couple of keepers along with some nice green fish along the way,, the bass was hitting everything!!! We tried several of the TWRA fish attractors with very little luck,,only short males, around 11 am we started jigging brush piles in 8 to 12 foot of water an the crappie bite an size was much better, caught several nice females that way, we fished sister cove the youth camp, an bryant grove area, catching at least 2 to 5 fish per tree, with at least one or 2 keepers per tree, the crappie magnet (percy) worked great, but 90 percent of our keepers came from a crappie magnet gold 1/8 oz jig head tipped with nothing but a minnow,,all an all i believe we had around 50 totally with 22 keepers,,, on a 6 hour trip!!! Only caught 2 on ole Elvis Brian,, but the king will live to fight another day…Hope to be out again with pops friday,, going to try to focus on the mid section of the lake an see what happens, stop an say hi if anyone happens to see us, red an gold Stratos,, cant miss it… Take Care Ron Naron….

Great report. I’m out here now trying to get a food report to put up. Yesterday I have 4 keepers in fall creek….that bite is just about dead. You can catch some nice crappie still, but you have to fish alot of wood. Then we went mid lake and picked up 5 more keepers on one tree near pooles knob boat ramp. We cuaght both on minnows and crappie magnets……purple haze. Hope to catch more today, but had to take cover due to the storm.

I am out here as well. Sitting in my truck at Bryant’s grovr riding out this storm. I have caught 4-5 with two keepers so far near pools knob campground. 10FOW fishing about 6 feet deep spider rigging minnows. If you see a tan lowe stinger with a Mercury on back stop by and say hi.
