Fishing Saturday with Krogers79
We caught 2 each (We only fished for a few hours) on a assortment of lures. We started fishing sister cove at around 6 in the morning. We fished the left bank for 30 minutes. The only fish caught there was a 14.5 inch largemouth I caught on a spook. We left and went to fish a spot around poole knobs campground. I had a nice largemouth on a kvd 1.5 squarebill (sexy shad) get off right at the boat. Keith had a bite on a texas rigged baby brush hog. We left that spot and went to a gravel bank around hong kong. Me and him caught one each on a carolina rigged lizard. I was using a watermelon purple zoom 6 inch lizard and he was throwing a watermelon red. We left that spot and went to the point across from Jones Mill. He caught a 16 inch largemouth on the watermelon red lizard. We went back to fate sanders and while I was waiting on my dad to come I hooked a 15 inch largemouth. He jumped off but it was still exciting.
I went back out around noon until 3 on my jon boat. Lamar Hill was 63-64 and Sister cove was 61. I started fishing Sister cove and hooked a short bass on the carolina rigged lizzard. I lipped the fish and unhooked it while and it was still in the water. I somehow dropped it in before I could measure it. I got a bite on a texas rigged prowler saw craw but I missed him. We had to leave after 30 minutes of fishing there because of not having a whole lot of battery power left. I went back to Lamar Hill for a few hours and didn’t get a bite.
