Thanks Brian. That would be very helpful to a lot of us who don’t get to be out on the water very often. I was out last weekend and spent a good portion of the day locating brush piles. I usually bass fish but I took a friend and he wanted to crappie fish, so I thought I would give it a try since they were biting so good. We caught fish off the brush piles we found and to have a few extra ones would be great.

Your welcome! I will have the coordinates up in a week or two. I am going to sink some new ones. I’m thinking about creating 4 up lake, mid lake and down lake…..some in shallow water and some in deep!

Thanks I am more interested in crappie fishing and would like to know the general area of each too. I have a hand held gps but only mark what I find or put in don’t know how to put in cordinates but maybe I can find my book???

Ya, I wish I could help there. Your need to get a book, each unit is different. What kind of GPS is it?

Brian, You might think of transfering them to a data card and selling them at a reasonable price. I have a new Lowrance HDS5-2gen. Somewhat like yours but slightly amaller. Still trying to get it set up. Do you know if they make a home AC adaptor so you can work on the unit off the boat?

That’s a good idea. Maybe I can offer a list of additional coordinates, other than the ones I post on the forum that I can sell on a SD card. Then, if fishermen want more coordinates, all they would have to do is put the chip in their unit! SD cards are universal for all different GPS systems.
I’m not sure about the adapter. I’ve never heard of one.
