Dylan and I may be there. I can handle the cold. But if it’s raining that may be a little tougher! LOL. Coming across the lake today it’s way up from all the snow and rain. Wonder how it will be by Saturday.

Looks like the warming trend will start on Saturday which will probably do very little good for the tourney, unless the sun shines to warm up the shallow water a degree or two. If the water stays up and they are pulling water on Saturday, it could get good. I would imagine the males may have started to roam some of the spawning areas looking for a bedding site, but the big females are probably still in the deeper water 8-15 ft. My initial weapons of choice will be medium running cranks, football jigs, traps, chatter bait, shakey head, and underspin (if they are suspended). If those don’t get any nibbles…the kitchen sink (A rig) may come out. I haven’t been on the water in 3 weeks, so I probably don’t even remember how to cast my reels. 😀

Haven’t been out in 3 weeks? HA. Got me beat by 6 months!

Ha. I would wrap some electrical tape around my spool to keep from bird nesting the entire spool on the first few casts. Only kidding. Good luck to you guys.

It’s a big fish/black bag tournament. Fish can be weighed in at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm. And I think the biggest fish of the tournament gets a big prize as well.

I have actually decided to not fish the tourney. I figured you guys would just follow me to my honey holes and catch all of my fish, so I am going to pass on the tourney. 😀 Only kidding. I was going to pre-fish on Friday, but work has me tied up and I haven’t been on the water in 3 weeks so I would be absolutely blind…especially with the weather we have been having. Add that to the fact that a new fishing license has to be bought for Saturday and it was a recipe for costing a lot of money with very unknown results. Best of luck to you guys that are fishing it and I will probably be on the water about 9:30 Saturday morning.

No license needed for Saturday. Its the 28th so you can get your last day out of it! LOL

Good point. I think we are gonna head to Guntersville instead.
