Interesting day on Thursday!!
Fished out of four corners from 9 am till about 12:30. I haven’t bass fished priest yet this as I’ve been on KY lake every weekend crappie fishing and boy was I rusty. Fished all around the islands and different points. Threw chatterbait and squarebill for an hour with ripple from the wind and never got a bite. Got out of the wind and started with my shakeyhead. Over the next two hours I probably got 20 bites, and boated exactly 1 fish and had 4 more jump off right at the boat. Rusty on feeling the bump and setting the hook. 1 of the 4 was a solid 4 lber in the cut through. Lots of short strikes and I lost a bunch of worms when I set the hook. I could feel them swimming with it but they were either very small fish or simply had it by the tail and then some I was just late on. Could have been buck bass still guarding i guess. Fun day though for a first trip and great weather.
The interesting part!!! I was fishing the point there at four corners and am hearing all sorts of sirens going off for a while, helicopter is up and circling the marina. Its been going on a while. I pack up and idle around the last dock going to take out. I turn the corner and there are 2 policemen in swat gear on the take out dock with AR’s wrapped around, they are on point and up and looking. Im looking around while I’m idling towards them and see another dozen or so officers running through the parking lots and in the woods to the left, all guns up on point. Little nervous now. I get within talking distance and ask the guy if its okay if I take out. He says ” sure, go ahead, but just so you know, there is a hispanic suspect wanted for armed robbery running through the woods that are armed and dangerous, shots have already been fired and we have one in custody and the other one is in those woods right there so just be aware!!!” As I was tying up, the guy was talking back and forth to the chopper about what they were finding, back pack, empty mag, etc. Real crazy.
I bet there was 30 cop cars between the ramp and the main road, they stopped and searched every vehicle. Never saw it on the news but it was crazy. Anybody else see it?

My wife and I were on the boat eating lunch just to left of the cove where the tornado took out the walk and part of the boat docking places. The chopper was circling forever and as we boated out was sure the chopper changed its circle to check us out. Removed my hat etc just to make sure they could see clearly…chopper then changed its circling back to around the woods. This went on for about an hour it seems. I never saw SWAT guys…
