My last trip out I fished the East Fork. I put in at Mona and motored down to the first bluff wall on the right after the the East and West Fork intersection. I started on the lower end and worked against the current back up river. I fished the entire day with a 1/4oz black/blue Hoppys Flea Flicker with a green pumpkin/gold flake Paca Chunk. Sitting in 15ft-20ft and casting to the bank making sure I fished it almost all the way to the boat, I caught 3 including one 3lb largemouth. I had several more bites, but they would not take the bait. From there I bounced from rocky bank to rocky bank fishing around big boulders and wood. I focused on areas that created breaks in the current and made sure I fished back to the boat for those deeper fish. During the 4 hours I was out a fished 5 banks and caught 7 bass, including 2 keepers. I had over 15 bites, at one time lost 2 Paca craw after 2 cast to a laydown and then on my third cast with 3rd Paca craw I stuck the 14.5″ spotted bass!

Another fun day in the East Fork. The water claity was 2ft at 49-50 degrees. Too bad it is flooded again! Oh well, it will fire things up again when it starts clearing (especially in the creeks)!
