Nice site. I need all the help I can get. I have fished hard with little luck this year.
Anyone fish PP today? I was wondering what the rain did to the crappie bite. Debating on whether to fish up near spring/fall creek or to go down and fish near Pools Knob tomorrow. They still shallow?

I took my boys up to the Pooles Knob area this afternoon. We cast 1/16 ounce crappie magnets toward the shore and used a very slow retrieve back to the boat. We caught about 50 crappie with 34 keepers. Black/chartreuse, purple/chartruese, and yellow seemed to be the best colors. The water temperature was 60 – 62 degrees in that area. It seemed to be more of a late afternoon bite.

I fished Jones Mill abandoned boat ramp today and I had 17 keepers in 6 fow.

I’m going tomorrow morning. So I may have to try them a bit deeper before the sun gets high. I am putting in at fall creek and if I don’t have much luck up there or if it’s real muddy I may have to head down the lake.
What was the water color?
where is the abandoned ramp? Is it on the east side near the cut throughs from fate sanders? -
Yes it is bear near the cut throughs near fate sanders. Water clarity was around 2.5 feet.

Just got home. Wore them out this morning at the mouth of spring creek. Over 20 keepers. Will post a count after I dress them.
