CreekCrappie, I’m 18 and went through the same thing. I searched forever trying to find something like you are talking about but never found any. They were always too far away or didn’t really seem organized. I got a summer job with a landscaping crew going into my freshman year of high school and saved up just enough for a jon boat. I spent my freshman year fishing out of that whenever my dad could go, and on the days he couldn’t I would get him to drop me off and come back with the trailer that night 😀 . I learned a lot that year. Then when I turned 16, I joined Old Hickory Percy Priest Bass Tournament which is a club that fishes tournaments every other saturday going back and forth between Old Hickory and Percy Priest. It is a club where no guides or sponsored people are allowed, so it makes it more of a fair playing field. Here is their website: http://www.ohppbt.com/ The tournaments are usually between 30-40 boats. The people are all very friendly especially Mr. Walls who runs it. They were very welcoming to my friend and I when we joined. We were both 16.
Sorry for that long reply that didn’t really answer your question, but my advice to you is to fish hard now and learn as much as possible. Then once you can get your hands on a boat you will enjoy fishing in that club and will easily be able to compete. I am by no means a great fisherman, but I can hold my own in those tournaments. Let me know if you have nay questions.
