Yesterday I fished from 3 to 7pm with for regular clients on the pontoon boat. The water temperature was 86 degrees with normal 1-1.5ft visibility. Crappie fishing we focused around Mousetail Island on the south side it 18 to 21 ft. Using live minnows we caught 8-9 keeper crappie, several yellow bass, catfish, and drum! The guys had a ball competing for the yellow bass fish. I think we totaled around 40 fish! We also finished in front of Bryant’s Grove with 1 or 2 keepers around the red buoy in front of the cove in 18ft and across from Fate Sanders at the sunken pontoon boat in 20ft. At each we caught a couple of shorts. Tonight I’ll be bass fishing from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Hopefully it goes well. We’ll be trying worms, jigs, and spinnerbaits all night long.
