Today was a great day on the water! With the constant cool temperatures, the bass are moving into shallower water and making it easier to find and catch! Today our pattern was the same all day……coves up lake(Fate Sanders Cove, cove next to Fate Sanders, Jones Mill and other coves in that general area). We had success casting into 2ft-4ft of water with buzzbaits, square bill crankbaits(in any type of shad pattern) and Bombshell Turtles. It was an overcast day, so the topwater bite was effective throughout the day. If the sun came out after morning we would have fished more crankbaits and softplastics. As long as the temperature stays cool, stay shallow.

Thanks, again. This is really helpful, especially being new to the lake. Can’t wait to get out there again.

Got out early Wed. morning across from Stewart Creek ramp in the cove where the ski Slalom is set up and caught 5 great fish > 2 lbs and one .3.5lbs. All on a Black 7″ black worm w/PINK tail. We tried several other colors, but they seemed to like that pink tail for some reason especially as it fell off one of those flat rock ledges.
