I fished Old Hickory this evening. I launched at Shutes Branch and ran directly across the lake to the West channel. I started off at 5pm throwing a Strike King KVD Sexy Shad medium depth crankbait. Just off the first point, I hooked a really nice fish in the 4lb range in about 6 ft of water right up off of the rip rap. I went on to fish several coves on the west side of the lake, staying on the outer half of the coves on the main lake side. I boated a total of 13 fish, with all of them (with the exception of the first one) being between 13 &14 inches. So they were not big but it was a fun night. Two fish were caught on a Netbait Baby Paca Craw with a glass rattle in it. The others were caught on the crank. Almost all the fish were either out on the main lake point right up by the rocks, or they were right up on the bank just inside the coves.

This is my first post so I hope it may help someone. I would love to hear any advice that anyone would have to help catch larger fish on OH. Thanks

    Thanks for the post, Jason.

From the sounds of it, you might be the one giving advice! From my experience simply being able to caught a limit on OH this time of year is quite an accomplishment!
