This Saturday evening I will be fishing a Kayak Tournament at Priest. It is on the lower end of the lake. Put in is at Cooks rec area. I am looking at fishing the area between there and 7 points and around seven points based on what I see on the map. I have never fished on this end of the lake and do not know what to expect. We are fishing from 7pm to 2am so in the beginning before dark I am thinking of focusing on the ledges then moving into shallow after dark. Also after dark changing all baits to black or black variants. Any pointers or helpful comments about this area would be appreciated since I have never fished down there.
Finished 11 last week in a tournament on Old Hickory and this was my first time there as well. I fished areas based off of what Brian told me to try and it panned out well. I was one 15.5 incher away from winning so I felt pretty good about that. These are catch and release tournaments so it is based on length.

    Thanks in advance,

Cable Cross and the boat ramp behind it I’ve done good there in the past.
And check out the little island behind Cable Cross to the left.
Hope this helps and good luck in your tournament.

That is a pretty good padel, but I will try to get that far. Might be the key to get away from everyone else.

Got skunked! The place to go was towards the dam and fish deep diving cranks all night. Winner fished a XD5 all night he had 3 fish with over 56 inches. 2 small mouth and one large mouth. The fished never moved in and you could not find anything in less than about 10ft of water. Did lose a few late dragging a jig on the bottom in 10 to 15ft.
