anyone have any idea why the lake is not at summer pool yet? Usually by late April or early May it’s at 490.

I’m wondering the same thing. It may be that the corps of engineers are hesitant to let the reservoir fill up in anticipation of heavy rains- like the May flood. But I could be wrong.

Middle Tennessee is just not getting enough rain. When we are getting some the ground is absorbing it. The Corp said they are waiting for more rain to fill up.

We had the rain a month ago but they dropped it back down because it was a little early for their schedule now it’s an early drought lol. Brian do you think there will be good early morning fishing around all the grass that’s growing when the water comes up. I know it will die quickly but was curious if the bait would run up there pulling the bass with them like in the summer when the lake gets above summer pool and we catch them in the trees and flooded grassy areas.

Yes, the action shallow around the grass will be hot.
