Yesterday I had a bass trip from 3 p.m. to 7pm. Finally an awesome day where we call 20-25 bass! All the fish came out of one spot. I picked up my clients from Nashville Shores Marina and headed in to Suggs Creek where the water had 3ft visibility at 82 degrees. We made two turns in the channel to the Seven Point boat ramp. We focus on an underwater point in 12 to 16 feet of water 200 yards out from the boat ramp. The point is sand and gravel for most of the way out and then turns into bigger rocks. I parked the boat and 15ft and later in 19ft and cast shaky heads with red bug and green pumpkin trick worms, Strike King 6xd in Shad pattern, Alabama Rigs, and single swimbaits up ino 13ft. The shaky heads produced the most bites, but the Alabama Rig and swimbaits knock them out as well. After two and a half hours sitting on the point and catching 20 or more bass we moved around to Nashville Shores coves and tried where the underwater bridge and road bed is. I found fish on the depth finder in 8 to 12ft, but we couldn’t get them to bite. I’ll be out all day tomorrow as well chasing the bass. Fun day of fishing after several tough crappie days!
