Muddy Water
Posted by tnbassman10 on March 5, 2015 at 5:26 pmI’m sure the upper end of the lake will be muddy after the rain/snow of yesterday and today. How long do you think it’ll take to clear out? I’m fishing Saturday and keeping my fingers crossed that the water doesn’t look like chocolate milk when I get there. My guess would be the river will be starting to clear up and the muddy water will have moved on down.

I’m hoping some of the lake will clear up. I am fishing a high school tournament Saturday and planning on looking in the river and/ or the backs of creeks for clearer water.

The upper end should be shot. It is still roaring by my house and 3+ft up already! It will probably go above summer pool.

Isaac, where will you be blasting off? I’m also in a tournament on Sat. I didn’t know there were many high school tournaments around here. Good luck!

Tnbassman, it’s out of Fate Sanders. This is going to be interesting to say the least lol.

Think spring creek will be any good or just too much water right now?

I would say Spring and Fall Creeks may be your best bet if you are fishing on the upper end of the lake. There will be current which should position the fish on the channel swings, waiting for an easy meal.

Ought to be real interesting as there are multiple tournaments out of Fate Sanders again this weekend it would appear.

Thanks guys…I just hate not to get out tomorrow. 51 degrees is sounding really good after this week of weather. Good luck all and be careful.

It seems like the fish were wanting to go up shallow about 3 weeks ago. The cold weather keeps postponing it. 😡

I keep thinking the same thing….last year I was catching nice bass in Feb but we were not limiting on crappie till late March/Early April. It seemed like you could walk across all the fish in Spring Creek last Feb but I have not seen them that concentrated in there so far this year. I would think 7-10 days of warm weather and they will push up big time. I hope the next 4-6 weeks are awesome! I’m going to try them tomorrow and hope for the best. Better than being home on the couch.

I crossed Sprind and Fall creek on 840 today going to work both looked plenty good for fishing. I will in there Saturday after noon myself. Y’all in tour good.

I ended up with one short fish in spring creek that I landed. However, I hooked a PIG in east fork flipping trees. It got me wrapped in a brushpile and got away. Had to cut the trip short because of trolling motor issues.
