Night Time Fishing
Ok, it’s been far too long since I’ve posted or since I’ve been fishing. I’ve had a ton of things going on in my life which has kept me off the water. I haven’t fished since late-May but my tournaments are now shifting to night starting in July. What’s some good things to do at night? My cousin, who fishes alot at night, says no matter what lake you’re on, you can’t beat a 1oz black spinnerbait with single colorado blade. Throw it around docks, banks, wood, anything and you’ll get bit if the fish are biting.
I don’t know how true this is but he is a good fishermen who primarily fishes at night during the summer. He’s been doing so for about 5-6 years now. Coming up in July I have a two-night event which starts Friday night on Old Hickory and then Saturday night on Percy Priest. What should I be trying to do? Are fish up shallow in the summer? I’m traditionally a pretty darn good spring time, shallow water fisherman. it gets tough in the summer. Should I fish those same spots in the dark?
I’m going to practice tomorrow night and possibly Saturday night. Any suggestions?
