Friday I went out for a few hours in the morning. I launched from Mona boat ramp and cruised down a few miles near the 840 bridge and worked my way back up. The sun was shinning and the water temperature was 60-61 degrees with 1ft clarity. Fishing with a 1/4oz Texas rig 3″ Big Bite Bait Swimming Craw, sqaure bill crankbait in shad color, and a white spinnerbait with a single silver willow blade, I fished bluff wall transitions, stumps, trees, and chunk rock. I only had two bites that ripped the claws off my crawfish in 3.5 hours! With just 30 minutes to I tied on a white scum frog made by H2O and started popping it around stumps and laydowns. On my first cast I had a nice bass come up to my frog and swipe at it! 15 minutes later next to tree a 3lb largemouth demolished my frog!!! He had the frog all the way in the back of his throat! I only fished 15 minutes longer and I had to head it.
