Today was another successful day on the water! I started with my clients behind the Smyrna pump house, casting Hoppy’s 3/8oz(white and white/chartreuse) Hawg Buzz buzzbaits. In two hours we had 12-15 strikes, landing 10-12 of them, with 3 nice keepers. Most of the fish came out of the shallow weeds in 1ft-2ft of water. Around 9am we moved to Stewarts Creek. We fished an acre of weeds near the back with no luck. It seemed when the sun rose high, that pattern is over. We moved further back to the creek near the boat ramp in the back and caught 1-2 short bass on shad rap(purple and white) crankbaits. All and all, good day. The morning was exciting!
