Well, looking for advice again. Luckily this time I have had two weeks to pre-fish the area and have found one hole that has produced nicely. Trying to find some more spots in the area since this one spot is small.
We put in at Lock 4 Rec Area on Station Camp Creek. Since I am in a kayak making a long trek is not an option. We have fished the west bank across from lock 4 ramp going towards the main river channel and all the way around the corner into West Fork station creek. Like I said, we found one hole in that area that has produced well.
We have one time this weekend to pre-fish and are wanting to find some more areas closer to the good spot.
What we are going to focus on this weekend is going more up in the mouth of the creek towards Gallatin Marina looking for more structures off the bank like we have found so far. If anyone knows of some good spots around Gallatin Marina it would be much appreciated. The marina is about as far as I want to paddle as I do not want to waste valuable time paddling when I could be fishing. The tournament is from 7pm to 2am so we do not have a lot of time.

    Thanks,
    Brent

As far as specific spots go, I’m not sure. But from what I have been hearing the last couple of weeks it seems that the best luck has been top water and flipping/pitching plastics around shallow wood and grass. I haven’t been able to get out on the water in almost a month, so I don’t know for sure. I have a tourney this Saturday out of Sanders Ferry and my game plan is to spend most of the day shallow.

Wish I had more info to give you, but unfortunately I don’t.

    Good Luck!

Good Luck at Fate Sanders. We caught last weekend on crank baits during the day and slow rolling a black spinner bait at night. Got a few hits on plastics around the weeds, but couldn’t hook up. Headed out again tomorrow evening for one more shot before tournament next weekend. We are looking at the point in front of the Duck blind as well as I have seen where Brian posted he caught some there.

The tournament is this coming Sat the 22nd. We did go out last Sat evening and it was tuff. There were 5 others out pre-fishing and I was the only person to land a fish all night. The storm front had just moved through town and nothing was biting anything. Hopefully these storms this week will move out a day or two before the weekend so the water will be back to normal or a little high and cool. Two weeks ago the water was higher and cooler when we had better luck. The hole we found two weeks where we caught 5, I only got one hit there on a white chatter bait. I caught one fish right at dusk slow rolling a Strike King Midnight Special spinner bait. Missed a couple small one on worms as well. Thinking maybe they were sunfish. Kept getting little hits in one area and lost half my worm twice. Hopefully this weekend will be better for sure.

I ended up 7th on the night with 2 fish. Caught 4, but two did not measure. My neighbor ended up with a nice 3 fish limit and took 2nd. Our pre-fishing paid off. Over half the field blanked and was talking about how bad the fishing was. Net stop, back to Percy Priest at Hamilton Creek.
