I am fishing a small club tourney on Sunday. Is anyone fishing Old Hickory this weekend? I would appreciate any advice. I fished the last couple of weekends but it has been super slow. I will practice fish today but could sure use some help. I will probable work the area between the dam and Drakes Creek.
    Thanks

I was out a couple days ago. Got a premium report coming later today, but it was near station camp. Brian

Fished most of the day today with no luck. I found some large schools of bait fish in the back of creeks with fish on the schools but couldn’t get them to hit. Didn’t talk to anyone who had fish. Everything just seems scattered. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I was up at flippers about a week or so ago and was talking to a guy there he told me that the thermocline was any where from 1′ to 47′ that is the reason why the fish are so scattered…. But he did say that flipper won a tounament on hickory using shaky heads…

Is there ever really a consistent thermocline at OH?
I always assumed that since it’s a river run reservoir that the water on the main lake stayed pretty well mixed.
Priest on the other hand has a pretty well defined thermocline.
