Great, thanks…Question: With a Lowrance unit is there software that let you develope the waypoints on your PC then copy them to SD disk and upload them to your Lowrance Chart page. Manual input is a chore to say the least.

I have an older program for the pc called Navionics HotMaps Esplorer that does this.
It was a DVD with a card reader that you could enter or highlight waypoints on a Navionics map with your pc, then load the coordinates to your card. Honestly, i find that it’s easier to just do it on your unit for so few waypoints.

My GPS had those coordinates about 75 yards from the boat ramp and I didn’t find much structure

You might want to try and reset map somehow. In Jones mill, the brush is about only 20yards off ramp. Brian

“Easy GPS” is a free program available online that does allow you to set waypoints, other things as well, on the computer and upload to your Lowrance via SD card. It is easier, however, to enter coordinates directly to the Lowrance unit. Make you you choose the correct GPS FORMAT in the Lowrance unit.

Brian, did you put these brushpiles in yourself, or were they in there already? I went to Jones mill brushpile yesterday and today in 13-14 foot of water and I did not get a bite, even with minnows. Do you think they had enough time to find the brush?

Most of these I put out a while a year or longer. Sometimes there are crappie in them and sometimes not. The one in Jones Mill that I sunk is actually 4-5 giant stumps in a pile. It took 5 cinderblocks to sink the largest stump. Ill never forget trying to sink that sucker in the freezing cold…..funny memory. If you don’t get any bites after 15 minutes, move to another tree…..try it again another day. Brisk
p.s. I’ve got 6 more coordinates I’m be posting in December.

One of the other members had the same issue. It had to do with the map he was using. Ill look at some of the old post and see what came from it. Brian
