Heading out to Percy Priest this weekend in my Kayak. Only been to priest once to fish on the 4th of July and did not have much luck, but I believe that was due to me fishing to shallow. I will be putting in at Fall Creek around sun up and heading north towards the mouth of Spring Creek. Looking at the topo map this looks like a good area to fish with nice points and combos of deep and shallow water. I may also try to the structure where fall creek and spring creek merge for crappie. Any pointers fishing for Bass would be appreciated. I have been reading your reports and it appears a I need to be using my electronics and looking for ledges. Any help would be appreciated.

in a kayak my goal would be to avoid people. crawl way back up in stewarts creek and toss some soft plastics And craw jigs.
also the reports lately have been great, if u stick to those u should have fun

I agree with chawchaw, I just ate up by the waves in my aluminum boat from the boat traffic I can’t imagine it’s any better in a kayak. I’d guess much worse. But if you can get out there early, you might try hitting some of the spots that have been good for Brian lately: main point in Stewart Creek, Weakly Lane bridge and Lamar Hill point(s). Once the boat traffic starts to get sporty then you could tuck back into a creek and try to salvage a fish or two.
