Questions about shaky heads
Hey guys I am having a few problems with my shaky heads. First off I use zoom trick worms in green pumpkin and big bite baits 3/16 ounce jigheads. I am getting snagged with these way to much! All I am doing is working it like a jig and dragging it along the bottom. Every time it gets snagged it makes a hole where the hook was. After a little while it gets to where I can’t even keep the hook buried in the plastic. I end up going through like 15 worms a day! Is this normal? How should I get around this problem? And I am not even catching anything on them. Should I try a different retrieve or am I just not patient enought?

Sometimes I try more vertical jigging with shaky heads if I am around a lot of rock. I seem to work the jig a bit faster, but I still do hang up more with shaky heads.

Priest is horrible for snags, but if you go to a 1/8oz and try a football head shaky, that will help. Brian

99% of the time I cast a Rapala sr5 in shad color and crawfish color……..fish catching machine!

Especially on the football head part. I’ve been using the Rugby jighead by VMC recently on Percy and it’s done a really good job sliding through all the rock.
