I fished all day, literally. 7 to 4. With really nothing to show for it. First spot was the back of Stewart’s Creek. I fished a black/blue finesse jig. I missed 3 immediately and ripped one jig trailer. Fished further back and didn’t get a bite with a rigs, jerkbaits, shad raps, and a Kvd 1.5 flat in areas deep enough. Headed to the back of spring creek and zeroed with the same baits. Fished some way out of the creek with no action. From there I headed to the back of west fork and fished every bluff and rock pile back to the split with the same lures with the addition of a football jig. Fished some more around the river. From there I headed to the mouth of Stewart’s creek and fished there with football jigs, a rigs, and jerkbaits. From there I fished the second cut through and the drop offs around there. And I hit the bank across from Fate Sanders with football jigs. No keepers the whole day. I really think I need to concentrate on down lake from now on . Anyone have any suggestions? How deep? Types of bank/ dropoff to concentrate on? Area of lake? Thanks, Isaac

I saw your reply to me. Start fishing bluffs mid and down lake. Pull up to a bluff and fish parallel to it. Try and get your bait on the first ledge of the bluff usually 15-30 feet. It seems that no matter what the weather is doing, I can catch fish off this pattern.

Thanks! I really can’t wait to go out and try this!
