redemption in 3 hours
Posted by Brian on March 2, 2015 at 6:50 pmtoday I went out for 3 hours and felt the redemption power after catching 3 nice keepers and several short fish. Glad to get out and hook some good ones after a tough weekend. Can’t wait for next week when it looks like it will be 50 degrees every day.

Still throwing the A-Rig? I’ve about given up on mine. I went out Saturday and fished way up the West Fork. I haven’t really ever been past the boat ramp and I wanted to explore a bit. I fished for 4.5 hours. The first hour I threw an A-Rig with no luck. I stayed out in about 12-14ft of water and threw towards the deeper banks (about 7ft or so) and slow-rolled it back to me. I never got a hit. I got hung up about every 4th cast though. I put it down and switched to a shad rap and caught one within 10 minutes of switching. I ended up going back & forth between a shad rap and craw and caught about 10 fish. I was kinda like you on Saturday, Brian. I couldn’t catch any keepers at all! I had maybe 3 over 14″ but not 15″ and everything else was small (12″ or less). I fished from 6:30am-11:00am.

Ya, but i have not been catching as many. Today I caught those fish on a white chatterbait, shaky head and Trey caught his on a green pumpkin jig. We just fished the stumps and rocks in Fall Creek. 49 degrees…clear!

Im wishing I was in your shoes today Brian. 65° on the first warm front with a storm brewing that just can’t seem to get here. I bet you slay em today. Good luck out there.

Lol. As much as I would LOVE to be out there we have a really sick family member and I had to do the mature/responsible thing and stay home. But, don’t think I haven’t been thinking about it all day! Lol
