Rough Weekend
We fished out of Fate Sanders on Sunday morning. Started at 7:15 AM in Sister cove and only managed one keeper crappie and one nice 3.5 lb. bass. We trolled in 4-8 FOW with 1/32 jig and grubs and worked out into deeper water with poor results. We hit the flat by the ramp Jones Mill ramp with no fish. Hit another long run right before Weakley bridge with a few white bass. Did some scouting for fish and marked some brush piles but never really found any obvious schools of crappie. Tried the bay behind Fate Sanders but the wind blew us off the lake. Spoke to a couple of other boats that were trolling and one boat had 7 keepers and another 2. I guess we were not deep enough but who knows. Anybody do any good this weekend for crappie?
I did find a boatload of bass on some bluffs that seemed like a great set up for a spoon, jerk bait or football jig. Anybody been catching bass on the bluffs?

I’ll be out a little for bass and crappie tomorrow. We’ll be up lake in the river.
The bluffs on Old Hickory have been great for bass with the A-rig.
