Well I finally got out today for the first time in a while with the boys. Ive had 2 shoulder surgeries since Oct where I fell at work and tore a rotator, bicep and chipped a collar bone. So been missing the lake!! We had a pretty good day for not being out all year. We probably caught 12-14 fish total and lost several that were all keeper size. Caught fish everywhere we stopped. Every fish was caught shallow and close to the bank in the shade. Trick worms and a jig. Boys had a blast. Best fish was about 4.5 and several in the 3-4lb range.
The big fish I caught I did manage to take a hook up to the barb in my index finger. The problem is the hook was still in the fishes mouth too. So here I am holding a fish and the hook is sticking out the bottom jaw and into my finger to the barb. So I ended up just ripping it out of my finger, taking pics of the fish and then wrapping the finger and finished fishing! LOL

Good to hear the shallow bite is still active. Thanks…ill semd my web guy a note about the quota.
