I was on the water only 3 hours yesterday, catching 9 fish in one spot including two 2.5 pound LM and another 15.5″ White Bass or Hybrid, not sure. I am guessing this is a White Bass, help me out here because I am having trouble telling the difference. The LM were all on Red Eye Chrome Sexy Shad RT and the other fish was caught on a Flash Mob. Either way, he put up a nice fight!

At first look it’s a White bass.. one stripe extends to the tail distinctly. Hybrids are suppose to have several. Plus a greenish tint (TWRA told me that one but I dunno)… the other way to tell are the toothy patches on the tongue. One patch White Bass, two Hybrid.

Yea… to confirm that is definitely a white bass… I was cutting my new rod and reel’s teeth on stripers and white bass today… the lines are definitely a giveaway plus if you look on the tongue the patches are visibly different too. I will take my camera next time (I am too superstitious to take one because it always seems I get a skunk day when I bring one on the boat) and leave it in the car and when I load up I will take pictures… Definitely a fun day… just a short biting spell..
